VERDEJO ( Maetierra’s Spanish White Guerrilla)
Farms: Gavanza (2.5 hectares) and Merjorana(2.5 hectares).
It is considered original from Rueda, implanted there by the Mozarabs. It is a quite rustic variety, resistant to drought, with a thick and robust skin, this makes it less sensitive than other white varieties to different diseases.
It produces aromatic wines with body and glycerides. It brings acidity and bitterness.
It has adapted very well to our conditions, just as we expected. Tasting note: Straw yellow color with greenish iridescence.
The notes of boxwood and tomato leaf typical of the variety stand out in the nose, together with fruits and white flowers.
The palate is a glyceric wine, tasty and fresh
